The 2009 China League One is the sixth season since the establishment. League kicked off on 28 March 2009 and is scheduled to end on 25 October 2009. Winners and runners-up promotes to Chinese Super League next season and the last placed team was relegated to League Two. League One expands to 14 teams next season. Zhu Zhengrong of Shanghai East Asia scored the first hat-trick of the season against Sichuan at Shanghai Stadium on 28 Aug 2009. Leonardo of Shenyang Dongjin scored the second hat-trick of the season against Nanchang at Shenyang Olympic Stadium on 10 Oct 2009. Liaoning Whowin
Liaoning Football Club (), officially known as Liaoning Hongyun (), was a professional association football club with a long history in Chinese football. The club can predate their formation to 1953, when Shenyang government sports body joined existing club Northeast China to play in the Chinese national football league. By 1956, the league was gradually expanded and regional sports institutes' own representatives were allowed, which eventually formed Liaoning Football Club. Shanghai Stadium
The Shanghai Stadium () is a multi-purpose stadium in Shanghai. Between 2009 and 2019, the stadium hosted home matches of the Chinese Super League team Shanghai SIPG. History The stadium opened on 14 March 1999 when the eighth National Games of China were held in Shanghai. It was used for football preliminaries at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Shanghai Stadium was also the venue for the opening ceremony of the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games. The stadium hosted the 2015 Supercoppa Italiana match between Juventus and Lazio on 8 August 2015. Name Shanghai Stadium is close to Shanghai Indoor Stadium. Liaoning () is a coastal province in Northeast China that is the smallest, southernmost, and most populous province in the region. The 2008 Chinese Super League (known as the Kingway 2008 Chinese Super League for sponsorship reasons) was the 5th season since the establishment of the Chinese Super League and the 15th season of the professional football league in China. Shaoxing Keqiao Yuejia Football Club () is a professional Chinese football club that participates in the China League Two division under licence from the Chinese Football Association (CFA). The team is based in Shaoxing, Zhejiang and their home stadium is the Shaoxing City Sports Centre Stadium that has a seating capacity of 20,000. Their majority shareholder is Cui Yi (崔毅) and the Yiteng Group. They were founded as an amateur team in 1988 and called Dalian Tielu. They took part in China's national leagues before becoming a professional team when the Yiteng Group gained ownership of the club. Chinese Super League 2009
The 2009 Chinese Super League season was the sixth season since the establishment of the Chinese Super League, the sixteenth season of a professional football league and the 48th top-tier league season in China. Beijing Guoan won their first ever Chinese Super League title. The events during the 2008 season saw Liaoning relegated and Wuhan withdrawn. They were replaced by the promoted teams Jiangsu Sainty and Chongqing Lifan. Zhejiang Greentown which is located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang were renamed to Hangzhou Greentown. Each team is allowed to register a maximum of five foreign players and field four of them in starting line-up this season, one of whom must be from an AFC country. Chongqing Lifan
Chongqing Liangjiang Athletic () is a defunct Chinese football club. The team was based in Chongqing. The club was founded in 1995 as Wuhan Qianwei before making their debut in the newly developed fully professional Chinese football league system where they started in the third tier within the 1995 league season. They would quickly rise up to the top tier and experience their greatest achievement of winning the 2000 Chinese FA Cup and coming fourth within the league. In 2002, they came fourth place in the last season of the Asian Cup Winners' Cup. After these achievements they struggled to replicate the same success and experienced their first relegation from the top tier in the 2006 league season. After gaining promotion in 2008 back into the top tier they were unable to remain in the top flight and were relegated once more in the 2010 season.
