CHIM is a Canadian radio station, which previously broadcast Christian music at 102.3 FM in Timmins, Ontario. The station also currently broadcasts at 1710 AM. The station began testing its signal at 102.3 MHz on December 24, 1995, and officially signed on April 7, 1996. The station has expanded through a network of rebroadcast transmitters in Northern Ontario. CHIM-FM also has a rebroadcaster in Red Deer, Alberta, CHIM-FM-5, which originates some of its own programming. Its call letters were pronounced, on air, as ''See Him''. Programming The station's best-known program was the ''MAD Christian Radio Show'', a Christian rock show hosted by Kristen McNulty, which originally started as a show on CHIM. Chim Pui-chung (born 1946 in Chaozhou, Guangdong, China) was a member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong (Legco), representing the financial services, Financial Services Functional constituency (Hong Kong), Functional Constituency. He is executive director, director of several companies. Political career Chim was a legislative councillor from 1991 until he was jailed for Conspiracy (crime), conspiring to forge documents in 1998, whereupon he was impeached and disqualified as a legislator by Legco. He was released from prison in 1999. In 2004, he was re-elected unopposed as legislative councillor for the financial services constituency. In 2008 he was again elected. Biography Jim Chim, Associate Artistic Director of Theatre Ensemble, co-founded the company with Olivia Yan in 1993.
