Children In Need Rocks Manchester
Children in Need Rocks Manchester was a charity music concert held at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England, on 17 November 2011. The concert was organised by Take That singer-songwriter Gary Barlow as one of a series of events to raise money for Children in Need 2011. It became the second ''Children in Need Rocks'' concert organised by Barlow, after the ''Children in Need Rocks the Royal Albert Hall'' in 2009. Background The concert was broadcast on BBC One, BBC One HD, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio Manchester on Thursday 17 November 2011, the day before the official appeal telethon. "Teardrop" (also formatted as "Tear Drop") is a song by English trip hop group Massive Attack. Vocals are performed by Elizabeth Fraser, former lead singer of Cocteau Twins, who also wrote the lyrics. BBC Radio Jersey (Jèrriais: ''BBC Radio Jèrri'') is the BBC's local radio station serving the Bailiwick of Jersey. It broadcasts on FM, AM, DAB+, Freeview and via BBC Sounds from studios on Parade Road in Saint Helier. Like other BBC enterprises in Jersey, funding comes primarily from television licence fees collected in Jersey. ''The Chris Moyles Show'' is the title given to two differing versions of a radio programme hosted by Chris Moyles, originally broadcast as Radio 1 Breakfast from 5 January 2004 to 14 September 2012 before transferring three years later on 21 September 2015 to the Global Radio-owned commercial radio station Radio X. The show is broadcast 6:30–10:00am each weekday (originally broadcasting from 6:55–10:00am between 2004 and 2007). Radio X version On 21 September 2015, Moyles relaunched the show on Radio X, the rebranded XFM, reviving the show under the same title. Michael William Stevens (born 26 January 1957) is an English musician. He is best known as Take That's musical director. Biography Born in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, Stevens began music lessons on the clarinet and piano and was encouraged by his father, a professional drummer. Stevens studied composing and conducting at the Birmingham School of Music between 1975 and 1979 before working on cruise ships as a "performer". In the 1980s he moved to London and became a sought-after saxophonist; he was signed to RCA Records in the United States and began touring with artists such as Barry White, Brenda Russell, Dionne Warwick and The Temptations.
