The Chief of Defence Logistics ( sv, Försvarslogistikchefen, FlogC) is a senior position within the Swedish Armed Forces, responsible for all logistical requirements of the Armed Forces. The post was created in 2005. History In 2005, a position of Inspector of Logistics (LogI) was established at the Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters at the same level as the other inspectors. The first inspector was Major General Åke Jansson, who prior to that was commander of the Swedish Armed Forces Logistics (FMLOG). Brigadier General (BGen) ( sv, Brigadgeneral, Bgen) is a one-star commissioned officer rank in the Swedish Army, Swedish Air Force and Swedish Amphibious Corps. Brigadier general ranks immediately above colonel and below a major general. The rank is equivalent to rear admiral (lower half) in the Swedish Navy. The Supreme Commander ( sv, överbefälhavaren; acronym: ÖB) is the highest ranked professional military officer in the Swedish Armed Forces, and is by NATO terminology the Swedish chief of defence equivalent. The Supreme Commander is the agency head of the Swedish Armed Forces and formally reports to the Government of Sweden, though normally through the Minister for Defence. The primary responsibilities and duties of the Supreme Commander (and the charter for the Armed Forces) are prescribed in an ordinance issued by the Government. Micael Bydén
General Per Micael Bydén (born 13 June 1964) is the Supreme Commander of the Swedish Armed Forces, appointed on 11 September 2015. He was earlier senior commander in the Swedish Air Force. Bydén served as the Chief of Air Force between 2012 and 2015. Early life Bydén was born in Gnarp, Sweden, the son of Alvar and Gun Bydén. Sverker John Olof Göranson (born 3 May 1954) is a Swedish Army general with an armoured forces background. In 1995, he was the chief of staff of the Nordic battalion within UNPROFOR in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Yugoslav Wars. Major General Bengt Erik Lennart Andersson (born 31 August 1955) was a senior officer in the Swedish Amphibious Corps. Andersson served as head of the Naval Tactical Command (2003–2005), as Deputy Chief of Joint Operations (2007–2008), as Chief of Logistics (2008–2013) and as commanding officer of Nordic Battlegroup 08 and Nordic Battlegroup 15.
