The chief minister of Lumbini Province is the chief executive of the Nepal state of Lumbini Province. In accordance with the Constitution of Nepal, the governor is a state's ''de jure'' head, but ''de facto'' executive authority rests with the chief minister. Kul Prasad KC ( ne, कुल प्रसाद केसी) is a Nepalese politician and current Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, a province in western Nepal. He was unanimously selected Parliamentary Party leader of CPN(Maoist-centre) for Lumbini Province. KC was elected from Rolpa 1(A) to provincial Assembly of Lumbini province. He is the second Chief-minister of Lumbini Province after Shankar Pokhrel resigned from the post. KC became chief minister by the support of Nepali Congress, PSP-N and Rastriya Janamorcha. 2017 Nepalese Provincial Elections
Provincial assembly elections were held in Nepal on 26 November and 7 December 2017 along with the general election. 330 seats in the seven newly created provincial assemblies were elected by first-past-the-post voting and 220 by proportional representation. The election was part of Nepal's transformation to a federal republic. Next Election will be held in 2022 unless dissolved earlier without completing the five years term. 2022 Nepalese provincial election will be the second election for provinces after completion of tenure of five years.
