After leaving Telecom, she has worked for the World Masterpiece Theater, Studio 4°C, Madhouse and MAPPA. She is married to a fellow director of anime Sunao Katabuchi. ''Black Lagoon'' (stylized in all caps) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Rei Hiroe.
