Chiangrai United Football Club (Thai: สโมสรฟุตบอลเชียงราย ยูไนเต็ด) is a professional Football Club based in Chiangrai Province. The club plays in the Thai League 1. The club is also known as The Beetles. History First years In 2009, Chiangrai United joined the new Thai football setup and started at the 3rd level, 2009 Regional League Division 2 Northern Region. Chiangrai duly came out on top come to the end of the regular league season, thus claiming their first-ever championship and also crowned as the first-ever winners of the Regional League Northern Division. ''Xylotrupes socrates'', commonly known as the Siamese rhinoceros beetle or fighting beetle ( th, กว่างชน), is a species of large Scarabaeidae, scarab beetle belonging to the subfamily Dynastinae. It is particularly known for its role in insect fighting in Thailand. Description Like most Dynastinae, dynastid beetles, the adult male of ''X. socrates'' possesses two horns: one on the head and another on the Prothorax, pronotum, both bifurcate and curling inward. Adult females lack these horns. Both sexes have dark chestnut-brown (is young) or black (is old) exoskeletons and elytra. The 2017 Thai FA Cup Final was the final match of the 2017 Thai FA Cup, the 24th season of a Thailand's football tournament organised by Football Association of Thailand.
