Moving Castle is a Los Angeles based record label and music-making collective founded in Washington, D.C., by producers AO Beats, Hunt for the Breeze, Manila Killa & Robokid in December 2013. History Hunt for the Breeze a.k.a. Faisal Matin had previously started learning how to produce using FruityLoops. He founded Moving Castle in December 2013, along with fellow producers AO Beats, Manila Killa & Robokid. Within its first months the collective had released its first compilation via SoundCloud where, as of October 2015, some of its songs had accumulated over 200,000 listens. In early 2015, several artists within the collective were gaining media coverage on music blogs such as Complex (magazine), THUMP by Vice magazine and the Nest HQ imprint of Skrillex's Owsla label. Skrillex found personal interest in Moving Castle and in partnership with Nest HQ, Moving Castle showcased at South by Southwest in March 2015. Owsla
Owsla (stylized in all caps) is an American record label and creative collective. It was founded by Skrillex, Tim Smith, Kathryn Frazier, and Clayton Blaha in 2011. Skrillex announced the label on August 17, 2011. The label's first release was Porter Robinson's ''Spitfire''. The name "Owsla" is a reference to Richard Adams' fantasy novel ''Watership Down'', in which it refers to the governing caste in a society of anthropomorphized rabbits. History In 2012, Owsla launched a monthly subscription, ''The Nest'', with benefits including early access to Owsla releases. Elizabeth Abrams, better known as Liz (stylized as LIZ) or Liz Y2K, is an American singer and actress from Tarzana, Los Angeles, California. Her music is described by herself as "Sailor Moon R&B" and " future pop". and her music has been continuously stated to be "unapologetically pop" sounding. Liz gained more attention in 2015 when she released a single, made with producer Sophie, called "When I Rule the World" which first appeared in a Samsung commercial. She is additionally recognized for her late 1990s/early 2000s influence which is prevalent in both her music and fashion. The "Y2K" in her social media handles is in reference to this. Sajeeb Saha, known professionally as Jai Wolf, is a Bangladeshi-American, New York-based electronic music producer. He is best known for his singles, "Indian Summer", "Like It's Over", and "Starlight". He is currently signed to Mom + Pop Music. Career Saha was born on November 1, 1991 in Bangladesh. The following year, he moved with his family to the United States, and studied at Herricks High School on Long Island. In 2011, Saha started producing electronic music under the moniker No Pets Allowed.
