Chess Of The Wind
''Chess of the Wind'' ( fa, شطرنج باد, Shatranj-e Baad) also titled ''The Chess Game of the Wind'' is a 1976 Iranian film written and directed by Mohammad Reza Aslani. This film was screened only once before the Iranian Revolution, 1979 revolution in Iran and was accompanied by negative reception. But after being rediscovered in 2020, the film was released in different countries and was well received. Synopsis In an aristocratic family, the head of the family - Khanom Bozorg - dies. Her heir is Khanom Kouchak, a paralyzed girl. There is a dispute between the Khanom Kouchak, the maid, the nanny and the stepfather's nephews over the possession of the family wealth. Mohammad Reza Aslani
Mohammad Reza Aslani ( fa, ) (born December 9, 1943, in Rasht, Iran) is an Iranian filmmaker, Theory of art, art theorist, graphic designer and poet known mostly for his experimental films and documentary film, documentaries. He is also the co-writer of Espacementalism manifesto—although he never signed the manifesto—and one of the main poets of the New Wave Poetry of Iran alongside Yadollah Royaee, Fereydoun Rahnema and Ahmadreza Ahmadi. Personal life Mohammad Reza Aslani studied Painting at the Tehran University of Art, University of Art. He graduated with a graduate diploma in Filmmaking with specialization in Production Design through the Iran Broadcasting University under Maxime Feri Farzaneh, Mostafa Farzaneh. Film preservation, or film restoration, describes a series of ongoing efforts among film historians, archivists, museums, cinematheques, and non-profit organizations to rescue decaying film stock and preserve the images they contain. 2020 Cannes Film Festival
The 73rd annual Cannes Film Festival was scheduled to take place from 12 to 23 May 2020. On 13 January 2020, Spike Lee was named as the president of the Jury. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in France, festival management announced on 14 April 2020 that the festival could not be held in its "original form", with alternative means of observing the festival being explored. It was cancelled for the first time since 1968. Earlier, festival management considered holding the festival in June or July, after not cancelling the event.
