The Cherry Creek School District 5, also known as Cherry Creek Public Schools, is a school district based in western Arapahoe County, Colorado. The current superintendent is Christopher Smith. Former superintendent Scott Siegfried, Ph.D. announced his retirement on January 22, 2021. It consists of elementary, middle, and high schools. The district headquarters are in Greenwood Village. The district serves Greenwood Village, Cherry Hills Village, most of Centennial, Foxfield, and Glendale. It also serves portions of Aurora, Englewood and other areas in suburban Denver.About Us

Arapahoe County ( ) is a county located in the U.S. state of Colorado. As of the 2020 census, its population was 655,070, making it the third-most populous county in Colorado. The Melvin School is a former homestead located at 4950 S. Smoky Hill High School
Smoky Hill High School is located in Aurora, Colorado, United States. It enrolls around 2,600 students. Smoky Hill is part of the Cherry Creek School District and was the second high school built by the district in 1974. It goes by the short name 'Smoky'. The name comes from the fact that the school is located not far from the Smoky Hill Trail, an old pioneer trail stretching from Kansas to Denver. Overland High School is located in Aurora, Colorado, United States, and is part of the Cherry Creek School District. Overland High School is a comprehensive public, suburban, college-oriented institution. It is accredited by the North Central Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges and by the Colorado State Department of Education. Overland High School was selected to be on ''Newsweek''s America's Top High Schools 2010 list. Grandview High School is the third-largest high school in the Cherry Creek School District. Grandview opened in 1998 as the district's fifth high school, built to accommodate a population boom in the district's growing southeastern region. Eaglecrest High School is a public high school located in unincorporated Arapahoe County, Colorado, near the cities of Aurora and Centennial.
