Chera-Lyn Cook
Loveta Cheralyn "Chera-Lyn" Cook (born October 7, 1976) is an American crowned Miss Kentucky 1998, was the first young woman from southeast Kentucky to win the Miss Kentucky title. Pageants Representing the title of Miss Lexington, but claiming London, Kentucky as her hometown, Cook had previously held several titles, including Miss Central Kentucky, Miss Fayette County, Miss Monticello, Miss Southeast Kentucky, National Sweetheart, and National All American Teen. A double preliminary winner at Miss Kentucky, Cook won talent preliminary and placed 4th runner-up to Miss America 1999. The Miss Kentucky competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Kentucky in the Miss America pageant. Kentucky has once won the Miss America crown. Heather Renee French Henry (born December 29, 1974) is a Miss America title holder, fashion designer, and veterans advocate. She is married to former Kentucky Lieutenant Governor Steve Henry. Biography Raised in Augusta, Kentucky, Heather French Henry graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. She competed in pageants through her teens, including the Miss Ohio pageant. She competed in the Miss Kentucky Pageant four times before winning the title on her fifth attempt in 1999. She won the 2000 Miss America pageant in September 1999, the first Kentuckian to do so. Lori Lynn Menshouse (born February 9, 1973) is an American beauty queen and attorney from Ashland, Kentucky who has competed in the Miss America and Miss USA pageants. Biography Menshouse won the Miss Kentucky title in 1997 competing as Miss Ashland Area. She competed in the Miss America pageant held in September that year but did not place. In 1998, less than a year after passing on her crown, Menshouse won the Miss Kentucky USA 1999 title, becoming one of few women from Kentucky who have held both titles. She went on to represent Kentucky in the Miss USA 1999 pageant held in Branson, Missouri on February 2, 1999. Miss America is an annual competition that is open to women from the United States between the ages of 17 and 25.
