Cheppu
''Cheppu'' is a 1987 Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film directed by Priyadarshan and starring Mohanlal. This film was a huge hit. An English song in the movie, "Free and Young" was sung by famous American singer Brenda Lee. The film is based on the 1982 Canadian film ''Class of 1984''. Plot Ramachandran (Mohanlal) gets a job as an English lecturer in T. K. P. Memorial College, only to find that many students are involved in drugs and politics, led by young Ranjith Mathews (Ganesh Kumar), son of Mathews (Prathapachandran), who is an MP. Ramachandran helps some students, including a geek named Anandan who was beaten by Ranjith's gang. The halls of the school are covered with graffiti. Priyadarshan
Priyadarshan (born 30 January 1957) is an Indian film director, screenwriter and producer who works predominantly in Malayalam and Hindi films, while also having done six films in Tamil and two films in Telugu. He has done about 31 films in Hindi alone, the highest number of films done by any Hindi film director after David Dhawan. He was one of the first directors in India to introduce rich color grading, clear sound and quality dubbing through his early Malayalam films. Priyadarshan has also directed many advertisement films. Priyadarshan began his career in Malayalam cinema in the early 1980s and was active throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Sankaradi
Chandrashekaran Menon, better known by his screen name Sankaradi (14 July 1924 – 8 October 2001), was an Indian actor. He was a veteran Malayalam comedian and character artist, who had over 700 Malayalam films to his credit. He dominated the Malayalam film scene in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s as a comedian along with Adoor Bhasi and Bahadoor. Later, he switched to character roles. Poovachal Khader (25 December 1948 – 22 June 2021) was a Malayalam lyricist from Kerala who worked mainly in Malayalam film industry. His first movie as a lyricist was ''Kaattuvithachavan'' (1973) but his first released movie was ''Chuzhi'' (1973). Biography Khader was born on Christmas day in 1948, in a village named Poovachal in the present-day Thiruvananthapuram district. His original name is Muhammed Abdul Khader.
