Chengyang District
Chengyang District () is a district of Qingdao, Shandong, People's Republic of China. It has an area of and around 740,000 inhabitants (2013). The district is located at the northern outskirts of Qingdao City proper. Chengyang includes mountainous areas and plains and features sizable agriculture. Transport Line 1 and Line 8 of Qingdao Metro serve the district. Chengyang railway station is located in Chengyang District. Qingdao Liuting International Airport is located near the urban area of the district. The airport is closed and replaced by Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport. Qingdao Airlines is a startup Chinese airline that commenced operations on 26 April 2014. The carrier is based at Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport. History An application for the establishment of an airline based in the Shandong province was filed with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) by the Yantai-based Nanshan Group in May 2013. Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport
Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport is an airport serving the city of Qingdao in Shandong province, China. It received approval in December 2013, and replaced Qingdao Liuting International Airport as the city's main airport. It is located in Jiaodong, Jiaozhou, from the center of Qingdao. Qingdao Liuting International Airport
Qingdao Liuting International Airport was the main airport that served the city of Qingdao in Shandong Province, China. It was about from the city center and served as a hub for Shandong Airlines, Beijing Capital Airlines and Qingdao Airlines as well as a focus city for China Eastern Airlines. A replacement airport, Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, opened on 12 August 2021. History From 2004 to 2006, the airport underwent an expansion of its terminal as well as adding more parking spaces which was part of its initial 2010 goal to expand Liuting Airport to handle 5.2 million passengers annually or 2400 passengers and almost 120,000 tons of cargo hourly.
