Women In The Israel Defense Forces
Women in the Israel Defense Forces have had a significant presence on the country's political scene since its independence in 1948. Israel is one of only a few countries in the world to have a mandatory military service requirement for women, though female conscription is limited to those who are ethnic Jews. According to Israeli military statistics, 535 female soldiers had been killed while serving between the years of 1962 and 2016. Israel's regulated female integration into the armed forces predates its formal establishment in 1948, when women of the Yishuv served within the ranks of various Jewish paramilitary forces during the 1947–1949 Palestine War. A 1999–2000 legal amendment to the 1951 Women's Equal Rights Law of Israel fully equalizes—although separately—men and women in the military. Until 2001, female conscripts served in the Women's Corps, commonly known by its Hebrew acronym: ''CHEN''. After a five-week-long period in basic training, they could serv ...

List Of Touhou Project Characters
This is a list of the characters that belong to the '' Touhou Project'', a series of ''danmaku'' and fighting video games by ZUN from Team Shanghai Alice. Most ''Touhou'' characters reside in a fictional realm called Gensokyo (, 'Land of Illusions'), where humans and ''yōkai'' coexist. Gensokyo's culture are like those of feudal Japan, but the ''Touhou'' games take place in the present day. Many yōkai prey on and eat humans, and humans subsequently try to exorcise them, but no racial resentment exists between the two. The characters in the ''Touhou'' ''Project'' have unique abilities, and many of them are based on Japanese folklore and religion. All characters, except for the two main protagonists Reimu and Marisa, are listed by the first game of their appearance. Reimu first appeared in the first game, ''Highly Responsive to Prayers'', and Marisa in the second, ''Story in Eastern Wonderland. Chen-style Taijiquan
The Chen family-style (陳家、陳氏、陳式 太極拳) or Chen-style Taijiquan is a Northern Chinese martial art and the original form of Taiji. Chen-style is characterized by silk reeling (纏絲勁; chán sī jìn), alternating fast and slow motions, and bursts of power (發勁; fa jin). Traditionally, Taijiquan is practiced as a martial art but has expanded into other domains of practice such as health or performances. Some argue that Chen Style Taijiquan has preserved and emphasized the martial efficacy to a greater extent. History Origin theories As for the origin and nature of modern Chen-style taijiquan, documents from the 17th century indicate the Chen clan settled in Chenjiagou (Chen Village, 陳家溝), Henan province, in the 13th century and reveal the defining contribution of Chen Wangting (陈王庭; 1580–1660). It is therefore not clear how the Chen family actually came to practise their unique martial style and contradictory "histories" abound. What ...
