Chen Tain-jy () is a Taiwanese politician. He was the Minister of National Development Council in 2016–2017. Academic career Chen obtained his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University in 1975 and doctoral degree in economics from Pennsylvania State University in the United States in 1983. He then returned to Taiwan to teach at NTU. Ho Mei-yueh (; born 9 January 1951) is a Taiwanese politician. Education Ho studied agricultural chemistry at National Taiwan University and technology management and business administration at National Chengchi University. Political career Ho joined the Ministry of Economic Affairs in 1975 by becoming a technician at the Industrial Development Bureau, in which she was promoted as the deputy director-general of the bureau in 1994. Ma Ying-jeou ( zh, 馬英九, born 13 July 1950) is a Hong Kong-born Taiwanese politician who served as president of the Republic of China from 2008 to 2016. Previously, he served as justice minister from 1993 to 1996 and mayor of Taipei from 1998 to 2006. He served as chairman of the Kuomintang (KMT) from 2005 to 2007 and from 2009 to 2014. Council For Economic Planning And Development
The Council for Economic Planning and Development (CEPD; ) was a government agency responsible for drafting overall plans for national economic development in Taiwan (ROC). It also assessed development projects, proposals and programmes submitted to the Executive Yuan. It also coordinated the economic policy making activities of ministries and agencies and the monitoring the implementation of development projects, measures and programmes.
