Chen Lin (陳琳 ; ; died 217), courtesy name Kongzhang (孔璋), was an official, scholar and poet who lived during the late Eastern Han dynasty of China. He was one of the "Seven Scholars of Jian'an". He later served as Military Advisor to Cao Cao. Life Chen Lin was from Sheyang County (), Guangling Commandery (), which is located east of present-day Baoying County, Jiangsu. Chen Lin (Ming Dynasty)
Chen Lin (; Korean language, Korean: 진린 ''Jin Lin''; 1543–1607), courtesy name Chaojue (), born in Shaoguan, Guangdong, was a Chinese people, Chinese general and navy admiral of the Ming dynasty. Chen quelled local uprisings in Guangdong and Guizhou. As commander in chief in the Battle of Noryang, he also led the Ming navy to win the Imjin War alongside Joseon Korea, and defeat the Japanese army led by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. He then became the founder of the Gwangdong Jin clan, one of the Korean Jin clans when he immigrated to Korea after the war due to his respect for Yi Sun-shin. Chen Lin is considered a hero in both Korea and China for helping win the Imjin war with Korea and defeating the Japanese army alongside Korean forces. Chen Lin (31 January 1970 – 31 October 2009) was a Chinese Mandopop singer. She committed suicide at the age of 39. Career She rose to stardom with her 1993 album entitled ''I Can Never Understand Your Love'' (in Mandarin 你的柔情我永远不懂). It reached the top of the Chinese album charts, selling 1.5 million copies. She ended up releasing 7 albums. ;Personal life In 1995, she married the singer Shen Yongge, founder of Zhu Shu Entertainment Ltd., a record company. Lin Chen () was a playwright and one of the important pioneers of Singapore theatre. Chen was born in Singapore in 1919, his alma mater were Tao Nan Primary School and The Chinese High School. Chen's first exposure to the dramatic arts was watching a play titled ''The Military Hospital'' by the Singapore Amateur Drama Society. The 18-year-old was deeply moved by the drama performance, and soon joined the Society. He had also worked in the comics and wood carving industries from 1937 until he joined World Bookshop in the 1950s. After his retirement in 1980, he joined the People's Association as an instructor for drama groups. Chen's theatrical training was accumulated from years of experience.
