Chen I-hsin
Chen I-hsin (; born 30 October 1972) or Charles Chen is a Taiwanese politician. Early life Chen I-hsin was born in Yunlin County on 30 October 1972. Chen completed a degree in politics at National Taiwan University and earned a master's degree from SOAS University of London. Political career Spokesperson of Kuomintang and Office of the President Chen served as the spokesperson for the Kuomintang, but left the position to return to SOAS and pursue doctoral studies in economics. By 2014, Chen had resumed his spokesperson duties, while also working for the Kuomintang's Culture and Communication Committee. In February 2015, he was named a spokesman for the Office of the President, serving until 2016, when Ma Ying-jeou concluded his second term as president. Yunlin County
Yunlin County (Mandarin pinyin: ''Yúnlín Xiàn''; Taigi POJ: ''Hûn-lîm-koān''; Hakka PFS: ''Yùn-lìm-yen'') is a county in western Taiwan. Yunlin County borders the Taiwan Strait to the west, Nantou County to the east, Changhua County to the north at the Zhuoshui River, and Chiayi County to the south at the Beigang River. Yunlin is part of the Chianan Plain, a flat land known for its agriculture. Agricultural products of Yunlin County include pomelo, tea leaves, suan cai, papaya and muskmelon. Yunlin's rivers give it potential for hydroelectricity. Douliu is the largest and capital city of Yunlin. It is the only county on the main island of Taiwan where no city with the same name exists. 2022 Taiwanese Local Elections
Local elections will be held in Taiwan on 26 November 2022 to elect county magistrates (city mayors), county (city) councilors, township mayors, township councilors and chiefs of village (borough) in 6 municipalities and 16 counties (cities). Elected officials would serve a four-year term. Miao Poya (; born 2 October 1987) is a Taiwanese politician and activist for humanitarianism, anti-death penalty, social feminism, LGBT rights and Taiwanese independence, also known for being one of Taiwan's first-ever openly lesbian council members. She was elected as councillor representing Taipei City District 6 during the 2018 local elections. Early life and education Miao was born as a second generation in a waisheng family at the time when the long Martial Law period ended in 1987, and grew up in Wenshan District, Taipei. She attended Jingxin Elementary and Middle School and Taipei First Girls' High School. Taipei City Council () is the city council of Taipei, Taiwan. One of the largest local councils in Taiwan, the city council is currently composed of 63 councillors, all elected lately in the 2018 Taiwanese local elections.
