Chen Hui-min
Chen Hui-min (; born 1972) is a Taiwanese politician. Chen was active in the Civil Alliance to Promote Constitutional Reform. She later led Taiwan March, an organization formed after the events of the Sunflower Student Movement. The New Power Party was also established by a number of protest leaders in January 2015, and Chen became the political party's first secretary-general. In this role, Chen made announcements about electoral strategy in 2016, expansion of the New Power Party, and political cooperation with the Democratic Progressive Party. In 2017, Chen opined on the need to defend Taiwanese sovereignty and the nation's exclusion from international organizations. In March 2019, Chen was one of 64 candidates to contest an internal election to the NPP's executive committee. She won one of the fifteen seats. Freddy Lim
Freddy Lim Tshiong-tso (; Tâi-lô: ''Lîm Tshióng-tsò''; born 1 February 1976) is a Taiwanese politician, musician, and independence activist. He is the lead vocalist of the Taiwanese heavy-metal band Chthonic. and the lead vocalist of the band started by him and American guitarist Marty Friedman. Lim served as chair of Amnesty International Taiwan from 2010 to 2014. He was one of the founding leaders of the New Power Party (NPP) in Taiwan and represented the party in the Legislative Yuan until 2019. Lim won a second legislative term as an independent in 2020. Huang Kuo-chang
Huang Kuo-chang (, born ) is a Taiwanese politician, activist, legal scholar, researcher and writer. He is one of the lead figures of the Sunflower Student Movement and joined the New Power Party shortly afterwards. He served as leader of the party from 2015 to 2019, and represented Taipei in the Legislative Yuan on behalf of the NPP between 2016 and 2020. Chen Meng-hsiu (; born 21 November 1975) or Cirasmita Chen is a Taiwanese lawyer and politician. Chen was a human rights lawyer prior to her career in politics. She was appointed Chen Hui-min's successor as secretary-general of the New Power Party on 1 March 2019, when party chairman Chiu Hsien-chih took office. As secretary-general, Chen Meng-hsiu announced the party's electoral strategy for the 2020 legislative election. Sunflower Student Movement
The Sunflower Student Movement is associated with a protest movement driven by a coalition of students and civic groups that came to a head between March 18 and April 10, 2014, in the Legislative Yuan and, later, also the Executive Yuan of Taiwan. The activists protested the passing of the Cross-Strait Service Trade Agreement (CSSTA) by the then ruling party Kuomintang (KMT) at the legislature without clause-by-clause review. The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) is a Taiwanese nationalist and centre-left political party in the Republic of China (Taiwan). Controlling both the Republic of China presidency and the unicameral Legislative Yuan, it is the majority ruling party and the dominant party in the Pan-Green Coalition as of 2022. Chiu Hsien-chih (born 29 April 1976) is a Taiwanese lawyer and politician. He contested the 2016 and 2020 legislative elections as a member of the New Power Party, winning the latter election. Chiu served as leader of the New Power Party between March and August 2019, and was reappointed to the role in an acting capacity in August 2020. Fongshan District, United States National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency () is a district located in southern Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Fongshan is one of the administrative centers of Kaohsiung and is home to the Republic of China Military Academy. There are three military units currently located in Fongshan. Both the Republic of China Military Academy and R.O.C. Army Infantry School came to Taiwan from mainland China and were re-established here in 1950.
