Chelsea Dungee
Chelsea Dungee (born May 11, 1997) is an American basketball player who is an assistant coach for the Troy Trojans women's basketball team. She played college basketball at Oklahoma for one season and Arkansas for four seasons. High school Dungee played two years each at Preston High School, in Preston, Oklahoma, and Sapulpa High School, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. During her time at Preston, she helped the team to the OSSAA class AA state championship, averaging over 25 points per game. Following her sophomore season, she was named Gatorade State Player of the Year for the state of Oklahoma. College career Dungee played her freshman season at Oklahoma before transferring to Arkansas for her final three varsity seasons. She was named an All-American by the Associated Press and the WBCA as a senior. The Sun Belt Conference (SBC) is a collegiate athletic conference that has been affiliated with the NCAA's Division I since 1976. 2021 WNBA Playoffs
The 2021 WNBA Playoffs was the postseason tournament of the WNBA's 2021 season. The Chicago Sky won their first WNBA championship. Format Following the WNBA regular season, the top eight teams in the overall league standings, without regard to conference alignment, qualified for the playoffs and were seeded from one to eight. Seedings were based strictly on regular-season record. The team with the best record received the #1 seed, the team with the next best record received the #2 seed, and so on. The top two seeds earned double byes (i.e., advanced directly to the semifinals), while the next two seeds received first-round byes. These seedings were used to create a bracket that determines the matchups throughout the playoffs. The first round of the playoffs consisted of two matchups based on the seedings (5-8 and 6-7). 2021 Dallas Wings Season
The 2021 Dallas Wings season was the franchise's 24th season in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and the 6th season for the franchise in Dallas. This was the first season under new head coach Vickie Johnson, after she was hired on December 9th, 2020. The Wings had the #1 and #2 picks in the 2021 WNBA Draft. They selected Charli Collier and Awak Kuier, while also adding top talents in Chelsea Dungee and Dana Evans. The Wings won their first game of the season, but couldn't keep the momentum going as they lost their next four games in a row, to finish May with a 1–4 record. The team improved during the month of June, posting a 7–5 overall record including wins at Seattle and a two game sweep of Phoenix. 2021 WNBA Season
The 2021 WNBA season was the 25th season of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The Seattle Storm were the defending champions. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, teams played a 32-game season (rather than the 36 games agreed to in the original 2020 season schedule) that included mini two-game series to reduce travel. The regular season ran from May 14 to September 19, with a break from July 12 to August 11 for the Olympic Games.
