Cheema ( pa, ਚੀਮਾ , ) is a Punjabi Jat clan of India and Pakistan. They have a high concentration in the villages of Gujranwala and adjoining parts of Sialkot. Anwar Ali Cheema
Chaudhry Anwar Ali Cheema (1 January 1935  – 31 July 2016) was a Pakistani politician. Political career He was born on January 1, 1935 in Sargodha, Punjab, British India and did his graduation from Government College, Lahore, now called Government College University, Lahore. He was recruited as naib tehsildar in 1961 but he quit in 1974 and subsequently started his political career by contesting elections of the District Council member where he remained vice chairman and chairman till 1987. Anwar Ali Cheema held the office of District Council Chairman for Sargodha. He won election to the Pakistan National Assembly on seven consecutive occasions between 1985 and 2013 which is a unique honor. He represented the Pakistan Muslim League (Q) party. Chaudhry Aamir Sultan Cheema ( ur, ) is a Pakistani politician who was a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from February 2019 until November 2022. Previously he was a Member of the Provincial Assembly of Punjab, between 1988 and May 2018. He is the son of Anwar Ali Cheema, a former Federal Minister of Industries and Production. Omer Sarfraz Cheema
Chouhdary Omar Sarfraz Cheema (born 24 July 1969) is a Pakistani politician belonging to Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf. He has been a founding member of PTI since 1996. He served as the 38th Governor of Punjab from 3 April 2022 to 30 May 2022 and was appointed by Imran Khan. He was removed as Governor and replaced by Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman on 30 May 2022, with approval from the President of Pakistan. Umar Cheema ( ur, ) is an investigative reporter for the Pakistani newspaper '' The News''. In 2008, he won a Daniel Pearl Journalism Fellowship, becoming the first Pearl fellow to work at ''The New York Times''. Sultan Ahmed Cheema (1908–1990) was among the few doctors living in Pakistan after its creation in 1947. He served at various divisional and district hospitals simultaneously because of the acute shortage of doctors at that time. During the latter part of his career, he established the Cheema Hospital in Daska which became very famous in the field of ophthalmology. Patients came from Kabul to Karachi for treatment. Shafqat Cheema is a Pakistani actor and producer. With his career of more than three decades, he is known for playing villain roles and is dubbed as "Pakistan’s favorite villain".
