"Cheating" is a song by English singer John Newman. The song was released on 6 October 2013 as the second single from his debut studio album, ''Tribute'' (2013). The song was written by John Newman and Emily Phillips. The song peaked at number 9 on the UK Singles Chart. This song has been modified with different lyrics on the 2014 Toyota Yaris commercial in Indonesia. Music video A music video to accompany the release of "Cheating" was first released onto YouTube on 22 August 2013 at a total length of three minutes and forty-one seconds. The video shows Newman invoking guilt in a cheating lover by performing the song on a nearby rooftop. The video also starts with a shot of a newspaper, referencing to Newman's earlier music video, " Love Me Again", which had ended with the two main characters encountering a car crash. John William Peter Newman (born 16 June 1990) is an English singer, songwriter, musician and record producer. He is best known for the track " Love Me Again" which peaked at number one on the UK Singles Chart in July 2013 and appeared in ''FIFA 14'', as well as co-writing and singing on Rudimental's 2012 singles " Feel the Love" and " Not Giving In", which peaked at number one and number 14 on the chart, respectively. Wookie (musician)
Jason Chue, better known as Wookie, is a UK garage musician. He scored a UK top 10 hit in 2000 with his song "Battle (song), Battle". Biography Chue's career began in 1991 as a producer for UK R&B/reggae artist Wayne Marshall (singer), Wayne Marshall, producing most of Marshall's debut album ''90 Degrees and Rising'' in 1994. Shortly after, Chue became writer/producer for Soul II Soul at their studio, working with Jazzie B for several years. He would also go on to produce for Dynamite MC and Doom Man. Chue has remixed tracks by Destiny's Child, Public Enemy (group), Public Enemy and Nas, among others.
