Chavaughn Lewis
Chavaughn Lewis (born February 1, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for Ironi Kiryat Ata B.C., Ironi Kiryat Ata of the Israeli Basketball Premier League. He played high school basketball at St. Mary's High School (Manhasset, New York), St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, New York, reaching the 2011 New York state high school boys basketball championships, Class A state finals as a senior in 2011. He then played college basketball with the Marist Red Foxes men's basketball, Marist Red Foxes; in four seasons with the team he obtained three All-MAAC selections and was included in the National Association of Basketball Coaches, NABC All-District Second Team in his senior season. His 2,119 career points at Marist make him the top scorer in program history. The 2018–19 Latvian–Estonian Basketball League, known as OlyBet Latvian–Estonian Basketball League for sponsorship reasons, was the inaugural season of the newly formed Latvian–Estonian Basketball League, the combined top basketball division of Latvia and Estonia. The season began on 28 September 2018, with the 2018 Estonian champions Kalev/Cramo hosting a game against the 2018 Latvian champions Ventspils. 2015 NBA Summer League
The 2015 NBA Summer League consisted of three pro basketball leagues organized by the NBA: the Orlando Pro Summer League, Utah Jazz Summer League, and Las Vegas Summer League. Ten teams participated in the week-long Orlando Pro Summer League at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, from July 4 to 10, 2015. The Memphis Grizzlies won the Orlando Pro Summer League Championship over the Orlando Magic White team, 75–73, on a buzzer-beater floater by Russ Smith in double overtime. The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, is an American organization of men's college basketball coaches. It was founded in 1927 by Phog Allen, head men's basketball coach at the University of Kansas. Formation of the NABC began when Joint Basketball Rules Committee, then the central governing authority of the game, announced without notice that it had adopted a change in the rules which virtually eliminated dribbling. Allen, a student of basketball founder James Naismith, organized a nationwide protest which ultimately resulted in the dribble remaining part of the game. The 2011 Federation Tournament of Champions took place at the Times Union Center in downtown Albany on March 25, 26 and 27. It was the tournament's first year in Albany after 30 years in Glens Falls. Federation championships were awarded in the AA, A and B classifications. Mount Vernon won the Class AA championship. Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference
The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC, ) is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I. Of its current 11 full members, 10 are located in three states of the northeastern United States: Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York. The other member is in Maryland.
