Chattanooga Classic (PGA Tour)
The Chattanooga Classic was a golf tournament on the PGA Tour from 1986 to 1992. It was played at Valleybrook Country Club in Hixson, Tennessee from 1983 to 1991 and at the Council Fire Golf and Country Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It was founded in 1983 as the Michelob-Chattanooga Gold Cup Classic and from 1983 to 1985, it was part of the PGA Tour's "Tournament Players Series", a "satellite tour". In 1986, it was played opposite the U.S. Open and although the prize money counted as official the win did not. Chattanooga ( ) is a city in and the county seat of Hamilton County, Tennessee, United States. Brad Faxon
Bradford John Faxon Jr. (born August 1, 1961) is an American professional golfer. He has won eight times on the PGA Tour. Early years and amateur career Faxon was born in Oceanport, New Jersey and raised in Barrington, Rhode Island. He attended Furman University, and earned a Bachelor of Economics degree in 1983. At Furman, Faxon was a two-time All-American (1982, 1983) as a member of the golf team. He played on the 1983 Walker Cup team. Bill Glasson (golfer)
William Lee Glasson, Jr. (born April 29, 1960) is an American professional golfer who won several tournaments on the PGA Tour. Glasson was born in Fresno, California. He attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he was a member of the golf team – a two-time All-American. He turned pro in 1983 and led the PGA Tour for driving distance in 1984. Glasson has enjoyed nine victories as a professional golfer: seven official PGA Tour events and two non-official events. His first win came at the 1985 Kemper Open. John Inman (golfer)
John Samuel Inman (born November 26, 1962) is an American professional golfer and college men's golf head coach. He is the younger brother of professional golfer Joe Inman. Inman was born in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he graduated from Grimsley High School in 1980. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1980–1984, and was a distinguished member of the golf team – a three-time All-American. In his senior year, Inman received the Haskins Award given annually to the college player of the year. He was the individual medalist in the 1984 NCAA Division I Championship. Payne Stewart

} Philip Arnold Blackmar (born September 22, 1957) is an American professional golfer. He played on the PGA Tour from 1985 to 2000 and on the Champions Tour from 2007 to 2012.
