A sports film is a film genre in which any particular sport plays a prominent role in the film's plot or acts as its central theme. In a literary work, film, or other narrative, the plot is the sequence of events in which each event affects the next one through the principle of cause-and-effect. Baseball is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams of nine players each, taking turns batting and fielding.
