Chase The Sun (EP)
''Chase the Sun'' is an extended play by the New Zealand band band Dragon. The EP was released in September 2011. Upon release, band member Todd Hunter said; “We are releasing this EP because it's what we do and we love it. The band may have been around for a long time but not in this form. It's a case of old brand / new band and it's thrilling to write and play new stuff.” Drummond continued; “During 2010 the band spent a lot of time traveling both at home n Australiaand in New Zealand. I was determined to write some songs, so I spent my spare time in hotels and airports etc, sketching ideas and recording rough demos. I took those ideas home and played them to Bec. We talked about lyric ideas and had fun fleshing the sketches out together. Sometimes the demos were already fairly complete and we finished them off together. Dragon (band)
Dragon are a New Zealand rock band which was formed in Auckland in January 1972, and, from 1975, based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The band was originally fronted by singer Graeme Collins, but rose to fame with singer Marc Hunter and is currently led by his brother, bass player and vocalist Todd Hunter. The group performed, and released material, under the name Hunter in Europe and the United States during 1987. Keyboard player Paul Hewson wrote or co-wrote most of the group's 1970s hits: "April Sun in Cuba" peaked at No. 9 in New Zealand and No. 2 in Australia; "Are You Old Enough?" reached No. 6 in New Zealand and No. 1 in Australia in 1978; and " Still in Love with You" reached No. 35 and No. 27 in each country respectively that same year. ''It's All Too Beautiful'' is the fourteenth studio album by New Zealand band band, Dragon. The album was recorded live in the studio. It pays tribute to songs from the British Invasion of the 1960s. The album was released on 2 February 2011. Dragon promoted the album with a British Invasion Tour throughout 2011. On 1 April 2011, the band recorded a "Live at the Linear DVD", which was uploaded onto YouTube in 2014. Mark Williams (singer)
Mark Williams (born 21 August 1954) is a New Zealand singer with Recording Industry Association of New Zealand (RIANZ) number one hit singles, " Yesterday Was Just the Beginning of My Life" (1975) and a cover of Buddy Holly's "It Doesn't Matter Anymore" (1977) before he relocated to Australia later that year. His single, "Show No Mercy" (1990) was a top ten hit in both countries. He has undertaken extensive touring in support of numerous Australian bands and worked in television.
