Terrebonne—Blainville was a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1997 until 2015. It was created in 1996 out of parts of Blainville—Deux-Montagnes, Repentigny and Joliette ridings. The 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution saw the riding abolished into Terrebonne, Thérèse-De Blainville and Mirabel. Geography The riding contains the towns of Blainville et Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines in the region of Laurentides, and the town of Terrebonne in Lanaudière. The neighbouring ridings are Argenteuil—Papineau—Mirabel, Rivière-du-Nord, Montcalm, Alfred-Pellan, and Marc-Aurèle-Fortin. The newspaper is currently published by the Pacific Newspaper Group, a division of Postmedia Network. Pierre-Luc Dusseault (born May 31, 1991) is a Canadian politician who was elected to the House of Commons of Canada in the 2011 federal election at the age of 19, becoming the youngest Member of Parliament in the country's history. He was sworn into office two days after his 20th birthday. He was re-elected in 2015 but lost his seat in the 2019 Canadian federal election. Early life and education Born in Granby, Quebec, and educated in Magog, Dusseault is the son of a daycare administrator and a customer service manager. He received a DEC diploma in social studies from Cégep de Sherbrooke. Jamie Nicholls (born October 15, 1971) is a Canadian social democrat and politician. He was a New Democratic Party Member of Parliament from 2011 to 2015 and was later the mayor of Hudson, Quebec. Born in Montreal and raised in Hudson, Nicholls attended both St-Thomas elementary and Hudson High School. He became a New Democrat while enrolled at Malaspina College (now Vancouver Island University) in Nanaimo, BC at the age of 18.
