Charlotte "Charlie" Thomas (born 5 September 2003) is an Australian rules footballer. She was selected by the West Coast Eagles (AFL Women's), West Coast Eagles with pick 3 in the 2021 AFL Women's draft, and made her debut in round 1 of the 2022 AFL Women's season. Career Thomas played 6 games for Subiaco Football Club in the WAFL Women's in 2020, and 1 game in 2021, being injured for most of that season with a fractured arm. In the 2021 AFL Women's draft, Thomas was picked by the West Coast Eagles (AFL Women's), West Coast Eagles with pick number 3. The Guernsey (Australian rules football), guernsey number assigned to her was number 3, which was presented to her at West Coast's 2022 AFLW season launch by Andrew Gaff, who has the number 3 guernsey on the men's team. The Subiaco Football Club, nicknamed the Lions and known before 1973 as the ''Maroons'', is an Australian rules football club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). WAFL Women's (WAFLW) is an Australian rules football league based in Perth, Western Australia. The WAFLW is the premier women's football competition in Western Australia, and from 2023 is contested by eight teams owned and operated by clubs in the men's West Australian Football League (WAFL). The league was established in 2018 by the West Australian Football Commission and West Australian Women's Football League, the latter having been the governing body and league for women's football in the state from 1987 to 2018, and has been run by the WAFC after the WAWFL was dissolved in 2021. Fremantle Oval
Fremantle Oval, also known by naming rights sponsorship as Fremantle Community Bank Oval, is a stadium in the centre of Fremantle, Western Australia, located on Parry Street. It currently has a capacity of 17,500 with terracing and a members area holding 750, though capacity was capped at 10,000 for Fremantle AFLW games. Fremantle Oval was originally used for cricket, but in 1895 hosted its first game of Australian rules football and Australian Football quickly became the main attraction leading to the development of the ground. The AFL Women's All-Australian team is an all-star team of women's Australian rules footballers playing in the AFL Women's (AFLW), selected by a panel at the end of each season. It represents a complete team, including interchange players and a coach, of the best-performed players during the home-and-away season. The first AFL Women's All-Australian team was selected in 2017 following the competition's inaugural season. A guernsey is a type of shirt worn by Australian rules footballers. It is typically sleeveless, although long sleeves may also be worn. The word "jumper" is also used to describe a guernsey. Andrew Gaff
Andrew Gaff (born 16 June 1992) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). He plays predominantly as a midfielder. Gaff was recruited from the Oakleigh Chargers with the fourth pick in the 2010 National Draft. He made his debut in round one of the 2011 season, and later in the year was nominated for the AFL Rising Star Award. Gaff has been a regular in the West Coast line-up since his debut, and in 2015 played in the club's grand final loss to Hawthorn.
