Charlie Weis Jr.
Charles Joseph Weis Jr. (born April 29, 1993) is an American football coach who is currently the co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Mississippi ( Ole Miss). He previously served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of South Florida from 2020 to 2021. Coaching career Early career Weis worked on his father's coaching staff at Notre Dame as a child, holding up cards that described the opposing team's offensive personnel on the field. He began coaching at the age of 18, working as an offensive quality control coach at Florida under his father, who was then the offensive coordinator. After his father was named the head coach at the University of Kansas, Weis Jr. joined the staff as an undergraduate team manager. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Kansas in 2015 during his time there. Offensive Coordinator
An offensive coordinator is a member of the coaching staff of an American football or Canadian football team who is in charge of the team's offense. Generally, along with the defensive coordinator and the special teams coordinator, this coach represents the second level of coaching structure after the head coach. The offensive coordinator is in charge of the team's offensive game plan, and typically calls offensive plays during the game, although some offensive-minded head coaches also handle play-calling. Several position coaches work under the offensive coordinator (position groupings can include quarterbacks, wide receivers, offensive line, running backs, and tight ends). Lane Kiffin
Lane Monte Kiffin (born May 9, 1975) is an American football coach who is currently the head coach of the Ole Miss Rebels. Kiffin formerly was the offensive coordinator for the USC Trojans football team from 2005 to 2006, head coach of the National Football League's Oakland Raiders from 2007 to 2008, head coach of the University of Tennessee Volunteers college football team in 2009, and head coach of the Trojans from 2010 to 2013. Charles Joseph Weis Sr. (born March 30, 1956) is a former American football coach. He was the head coach for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish from 2005 to 2009 and the Kansas Jayhawks from 2012 to 2014. He also served as an offensive coordinator in the National Football League for the New York Jets, New England Patriots, and Kansas City Chiefs. Weis currently hosts "Airing It Out," along with Bob Papa, on Sirius XM NFL Radio. Coaching career After graduating from Notre Dame in 1978, Weis began his coaching career at Boonton High School in New Jersey. He spent the next five seasons at perennial powerhouse Morristown High School in New Jersey as a football assistant developing players such as Michael Landsberg.
