Carlos "Charlie" Enrique Parra del Riego Campoverde (born March 5, 1985 in Lima, Peru) is a Peruvian guitarist and composer. He is also known as Charlie Parra. Early life Born in Lima, Peru, Charlie was thirteen years old when he started to learn his first instrument, which was a Peruvian Cajón. Spending a lot of his childhood playing games and not being a great student, his parents were told by a school therapist that he ought to learn an instrument in order to focus his energy on something. This led to Charlie picking up the guitar. Style and influences Charlie has been influenced by Slash, Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, Marty Friedman, Kirk Hammett, Robbin Crosby, Dino Cazares, Dimebag Darrell, Johnny Ramone, Gonzalo Farfán and Joaquín Mariátegui. Robbin Crosby
Robbinson Lantz Crosby (August 4, 1959 – June 6, 2002) was an American guitarist who was a member of glam metal band Ratt, earning several platinum albums in the US in the 1980s. Crosby died in 2002 from a heroin overdose. Early life Crosby was born in La Jolla, California, and had two sisters, Ristin and Bronle. Robbin attended Bird Rock Elementary, Muirlands Junior High and La Jolla High School. He previously played baseball prior to shifting his focus to the guitar. He was the son of Harry W. Crosby, a science schoolteacher at La Jolla High and an author of books about California history. Career Before Ratt In the late 1970s, Crosby played in the San Diego band Mac Meda. New Metal
Nu metal (sometimes stylized as nü-metal, sometimes called aggro-metal) is a subgenre of that combines elements of heavy metal music with elements of other music genres such as hip hop, alternative rock, funk, industrial, and grunge. Nu metal bands have drawn elements and influences from a variety of musical styles, including multiple genres of heavy metal. Nu metal rarely features guitar solos or other displays of technical competence; the genre is heavily syncopated and based on guitar riffs. Many nu metal guitarists use seven-string guitars that are down-tuned to produce a heavier sound. Reincidentes
Reincidentes is a Spanish rock/ punk rock band. They were formed in the 1980s as ''Incidente Local'', by Manuel Pizarro on drums, Juan Barea on guitar, and Fernando Medina on bass and vocals. They performed their first live concert in 1987 at University of Seville. After they became finalists at a local rock contest and were joined by sax player José Luis Nieto, they recorded their self-titled debut album in 1989 released by '"Discos Trilita". After signing up to the "Discos Suicidas" label and participating in Seville Expo '92, they started touring Central America. Later, Selu left the band and Finito de Badajoz became the new guitarist. Dante Spinetta (born December 9, 1976 in Buenos Aires, Argentina) is an Argentine singer/composer who is part of the duo Illya Kuryaki and the Valderramas. Biography Spinetta was born on December 9, 1976; he is the son of the musician Luis Alberto Spinetta. At the age of 14 he started recording hip hop tunes. In 2001 he married choreographer Majo Carnero and had a son, Brando de Dios and daughter Vida Uniqua. Draco Cornelius Rosa Suárez (; born Robert Edward Rosa Suárez, June 27, 1969), also known as Draco Rosa, Robi Draco Rosa or simply Robi or Draco, is a Puerto Rican singer, musician, songwriter and entrepreneur. The Skatalites are a ska band from Jamaica. They played initially between 1963 and 1965, and recorded many of their best known songs in the period, including " Guns of Navarone." Silverstein () is a Canadian Rock music, rock band from Burlington, Ontario, formed in 2000. Their band name is a reference to the famous children's author Shel Silverstein, whom the band had admired and whose work they had read as children.
