Charles William Moore Jr. (born June 21, 1953) is a former professional baseball player who played in Major League Baseball (MLB), primarily as a catcher and outfielder (1973–1987). He played 14 seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers, and one season with the Toronto Blue Jays. Early years Moore attended Minor High School in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama, and in June 1971 was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the fifth round of the 1971 MLB draft. He played in the Brewers' minor league system from 1971 through 1973, with the short season Class A Newark Co-Pilots (1971), Single-A Danville Warriors (1972), Double-A Shreveport Captains (1973), and Triple-A Evansville Triplets (1973). Major league career Milwaukee Brewers Moore made his major league debut with the Brewers on September 8, 1973, during a 15–1 loss to the New York Yankees. Charles William Moore (3 June 1893 – 9 March 1966) was an English footballer who played as a full back for Manchester United. Born in Cheslyn Hay, Staffordshire, he played for Hednesford Town before joining United in May 1919. After two seasons, a recurring injury forced Moore to stop playing football, but in September 1922 he returned to play for United for a further eight years, making a total of 328 appearances for the club before retiring at the end of the 1929–1930 season. Charles Moore (23 September 1905 – December 1972) was an English footballer who spent his entire professional career with Bradford City playing 339 league games. Career Born in Worksop on 23 September 1905, Charlie Moore started his football career with nearby Manton Colliery before signing with Bradford City in October 1926 as an inside forward. He scored on his debut in a 4–3 win over Manchester City on 18 December 1926 and, later the same season, played five games alongside his brother Fred. He concluded the season with eight goals, finishing as joint top goal-scorer. He moved to centre forward the following season, during which he scored 16 league goals to again be top goal-scorer, including five against Nelson. Walter Charles Moore (24 September 1875 – 12 May 1901) was an Australian rules footballer who played for Albert Park and South Melbourne in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) and for Essendon in the Victorian Football League (VFL). He served as a trooper in the Anglo-Boer War, but died of wounds after a battle. He was the first Fijian-born player in the VFL/AFL and the first VFL player to die on active service in any war. Charlie Edward Moore (born February 3, 1998) is an American basketball player for Pistoia Basket 2000 of the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA), whose college basketball career spanned four major conferences culminating with a year for the Miami Hurricanes of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) during the 2021–22 ACC basketball season. He previously played a full season for the California Golden Bears and the Kansas Jayhawks as well as two seasons for the DePaul Blue Demons. At Morgan Park High School he won two Illinois High School Association (IHSA) state championships and Illinois Mr. Basketball.
