Charlie May (producer)
Spooky are a British electronic music production and DJ duo consisting of Duncan Forbes and Charlie May. History They debuted with '' Gargantuan'' in 1993 after signing to Guerilla Records. In 1995 and 1996, they released three EPs (''Clank'', ''Stereo'' and ''Shunt'') on their own Generic Records label, followed quickly in mid-1996 by their second album, ''Found Sound''. Two singles from this album were released: "Fingerbobs" and "Bamboo". Charlie May collaborated with Sasha on his 1999 '' Xpander'' EP and 2000's " Scorchio", and in 2002 he co-produced some tracks on Sasha's '' Airdrawndagger'' album. The same year saw the release of "Belong", the first Spooky single on Deviant Records, which Sasha later used on his mix album '' Involver''. Progressive house is a subgenre of house music. The progressive house style emerged in the early 1990s. Deviant Records
Deviant Records was a London-based electronic music record label founded by publisher and music producer Rob Deacon in 1994. They published bands such as Pentatonik, Node (Flood, Ed Buller, Mel Wesson, Dave Bessell), Schematix, The Orb, Humate, Phat Gecko (Luke Corradine), Spooky, and Witchman. ''Involver'' is a mix album by Welsh DJ Sasha. It was released on 14 June 2004 through British record label Global Underground. Tracks by other artists which Sasha admired were chosen for the album and have each been remixed to give his own interpretation of them. It received generally favorable reviews for its track selection and creative mixing techniques. The compilation features additional co-production from British producers Charlie May and Simon Wright. It is Sasha's only mix album to chart on the UK and US Albums Chart, peaking at numbers 61 and 200 respectively on release. ''Airdrawndagger'' is the second studio album by Welsh DJ Sasha. It was released on 5 August 2002 through Kinetic Records and BMG, with a digital download release issued by Deconstruction Records. The album features co-production from Charlie May, Junkie XL and James Holden. It was released with one single, "Wavy Gravy", on 19 August 2002, which had an amateur remix contest held in 2003. Despite the release of ''The Qat Collection'' in 1994, ''Airdrawndagger'' was advertised as Sasha's "debut artist album". Upon release, the album charted on the UK and US Albums Charts, peaking at number 18 and 157 respectively. Background The album is named after the term "air-drawn dagger", which was used in William Shakespeare's ''Macbeth'' to characterise an emotional outburst.
