Charlie De Melo
Charles Alexander De Melo (born 26 September 1989) is a British actor. From 2017 to 2022, he portrayed the role of Imran Habeeb on the ITV soap opera '' Coronation Street'', for which he was nominated for the British Soap Award for Best Leading Performer. Life and career De Melo was born on 26 September 1989 in Barnstaple, Devon, and later moved to London, where he attended the University of London. He later graduated from ArtsEd in 2012. He began his acting career in 2012, appearing in the short films ''Rewind'' and ''Innocence''. In 2013, he appeared as Tamir Niaz in an episode of the BBC soap opera ''Doctors''. Barnstaple
Barnstaple ( or ) is a river-port town in North Devon, England, at the River Taw's lowest crossing point before the Bristol Channel. From the 14th century, it was licensed to export wool and won great wealth. Later it imported Irish wool, but its harbour silted up and other trades developed such as shipbuilding, foundries and sawmills. A Victorian market building survives, with a high glass and timber roof on iron columns. The parish population was 24,033 at the 2011 census, and that of the built-up area 32,411 in 2018. The town area with nearby settlements such as Bishop's Tawton, Fremington and Landkey, had a 2020 population of 46,619. The killing off of a character is a device in fiction, whereby a character dies, but the story continues. The term, frequently applied to television, film, video game, anime, manga and chronological series, often denotes an untimely or unexpected death motivated by factors beyond the storyline. Sally Carman-Duttine is an English actress. She is known for portraying the roles of Kelly Maguire in the Channel 4 comedy-drama series '' Shameless'' (2005–2013), and Abi Franklin in the ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'' (2017–present). Toyah Habeeb (also Battersby) is a fictional character from the British soap opera ''Coronation Street'', played by Georgia Taylor. Toyah and her family were introduced to the serial by executive producer Brian Park in a bid to increase falling ratings. Actress and singer Toyah Willcox gave the producers permission to name the youngest member of the Battersby family after herself, since the character was said to be born during the height of her career.
