Charli Grace D'Amelio ( ; born May 1, 2004) is an American social media personality. She was a competitive dancer for over 10 years before starting her social media career in 2019, when she started posting dance videos on the video-sharing platform TikTok. She quickly amassed a large following and subsequently became the most-followed creator on the platform in March 2020 until she was surpassed by Khaby Lame in July 2022. D'Amelio made her feature film debut with a voice role in the 2020 animated film '' StarDog and TurboCat.'' Since 2021, she has starred in the Hulu docuseries, ''The D'Amelio Show'' and the Snap Original reality show ''Charli vs. Dixie''.
