Charles Trump
Charles Samuel Trump IV (born October 3, 1960) is an American lawyer and Republican member of the West Virginia Senate. He represents the 15th district, which covers parts of the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. Biography Trump graduated with an A.B. in politics from Princeton University in 1982 after completing a 118-page long senior thesis titled "Realignment and Dealignment: Two Eras of Political Upheaval in West Virginia." He then received a J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law. Trump was elected recorder of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia in 1987. He served in the West Virginia House of Delegates from 1992 until 2006, serving as minority whip from 1994 until 1998 and minority leader from 1998 until 2006. West Virginia's 15th Senate District
West Virginia's 15th Senate district is one of 17 districts in the West Virginia Senate. It is currently represented by Republicans Craig Blair and Charles S. Trump. All districts in the West Virginia Senate elect two members to staggered four-year terms. Geography District 15 is based in the state's Eastern Panhandle, covering all of Hampshire and Morgan Counties and parts of Berkeley and Mineral Counties. Communities within the district include Fort Ashby, Wiley Ford, Romney, Berkeley Springs, and Inwood. The district is largely within West Virginia's 2nd congressional district, with a small portion extending into the 1st district. The Eastern Panhandle is the eastern of the two salient (geography), panhandles in the U.S. state of West Virginia; the other is the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia, Northern Panhandle. It is a small stretch of territory in the northeast of the state, bordering Maryland and Virginia. Some sources and regional associations only identify the Eastern Panhandle as being composed of Morgan County, West Virginia, Morgan, Berkeley County, West Virginia, Berkeley, and Jefferson County, West Virginia, Jefferson counties.
