Charles P. Davis
Charles P. Davis (June 5, 1872 – May 28, 1943) was a United States Army soldier received the Medal of Honor for actions during the Philippine–American War on May 16, 1899, with 29 other members of Young's Scout. He was one of thirteen members of Young's Scouts who were awarded the Medal of Honor between May 13–16, 1899. Charles Davis is buried in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, North Dakota. Long Prairie is a town in Todd County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 3,458 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat. and the oldest town in the County. Valley City is a city in Barnes County, North Dakota, United States. It is the county seat of Barnes County. The population was 6,575 during the 2020 census, making it the 12th largest city in North Dakota. Valley City was founded in 1874. Valley City is known for its many bridges over the Sheyenne River, including the Hi-Line Railroad Bridge. These bridges have earned it the distinction of being called the "City of Bridges".
