Charles Craig (tenor)
Charles James Craig (3 December 191923 January 1997) was an English operatic tenor. In the army during World War II, he joined the Entertainments Unit in India and performed operatic arias. He was encouraged by Thomas Beecham, and was included on his 1952 recording of ''A Mass of Life'' Biography Craig was born in Shoreditch, London on 3 December 1919. His father was labourer James George Craig and his mother Ann Rosina Gardner. He was youngest of fifteen siblings. Although he had musical leanings in his youth, both his parents died by the time he was thirteen, and in 1940 he joined the army. During World War II he performed operatic arias and ballads as part of the Entertainments Unit in India. He married Dorothy Wilson on 11 September 1946 in Bradford and they had 2 children. In retirement, he lived at Whitfield, Northamptonshire and on 23 January 1997 he died as a result of a heart attack. Charlie Craig (September 30, 1938 – July 1, 2011) was an American songwriter born and raised in Watts Mills, South Carolina. He relocated to Nashville and spent over 40 years in the music industry. Charles Grant Craig (sometimes credited as Charlie Craig) is an American television producer and writer. He worked on the third season of supernatural drama series ''The X-Files''. The season was nominated for the Emmy Award for outstanding drama series. Career Craig joined the crew of ''The X-Files'' as a supervising producer and writer for the third season in 1995. ''The X-Files'' was created by Chris Carter and focuses on a pair of FBI agents investigating cases with links to the paranormal. At the 1996 ceremony, the production team was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series for their work on the third season. Craig left the crew after working on only eight episodes. He wrote the episode "Oubliette". Charles Thomson Craig (11 July 1874 – 11 January 1933) was a Scottish professional footballer who played as a full-back. He played for both Dundee and West Ham United during their inaugural seasons, and later played in the Football League for Nottingham Forest and Bradford Park Avenue. Career Craig was born in Dundee and played locally for Dundee Our Boys, where he was part of the team that reached the Dundee Charity Cup Final in 1892–93, before they merged with Dundee East End to form Dundee F.C. He played for the new club for a season, making 13 appearances including in friendlies, before moving to Dundee Wanderers, where he made eight appearances. Charles "Charlie" Craig (born October 17, 1942) is an American track and field coach and former triple jumper. He was the gold medalist at the 1967 Pan American Games and was an American champion both indoors and outdoors. Craig attended California State University, Fresno, eventually gaining a master's degree there. As a student-athlete, he competed for the Fresno State Bulldogs track team and was among their leading men in jumps and sprints. He was a key part of the Bulldog's 1964 team that won the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships (Fresno's first). He broke the American collegiate record for the triple jump and won that title at the NCAA Championships. His jump of defeated all comers, although due to wind-assistance it was not ratified as a collegiate record (being an improvement of more than 15 inches on any previous mark). Charles Curtis Craig (18 February 1869 – 28 January 1960) was an Irish Unionist and later Ulster Unionist politician. He was Member of Parliament (MP) for constituencies in County Antrim from 1903 to 1929, taking his seat in the House of Commons of the United Kingdom.
