Charles C. Lanham
Charles C. Lanham (September 12, 1928 – December 15, 2015) was an American businessman and politician. Born in Ripley, West Virginia, Lanham graduated from Ripley High School in 1946. He then served in the United States Army. In 1952, Lanham graduated from Marshall University. Lanham worked in the bank business in Ripley, West Virginia and then in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. West Virginia's 4th Senate District
West Virginia's 4th Senate district is one of 17 districts in the West Virginia Senate. It is currently represented by Republicans Eric Tarr and Amy Grady. All districts in the West Virginia Senate elect two members to staggered four-year terms. Geography District 4 is based in Jackson County, Mason County, and parts of Putnam and Roane Counties to the north of Charleston. Bob Wise
Robert Ellsworth Wise Jr. (born January 6, 1948) is an American politician who served as the 33rd Governor of West Virginia from 2001 to 2005. A member of the Democratic Party, Wise also served in the United States House of Representatives from 1983 until 2001. In 2005 Wise became the president of the Alliance for Excellent Education, a nonprofit organization that focuses on reforming the nation's high schools. In 2015, North Carolina State University honored Wise with the William and Ida Friday Institute for Educational Innovation's Friday Medal which recognizes significant, distinguished and enduring contributions to education through advocating innovation, advancing education and imparting inspiration. The West Virginia Senate is the upper house of the West Virginia Legislature. There are seventeen senatorial districts. Each district has two senators who serve staggered four-year terms. Although the Democratic Party held a supermajority in the Senate as recently as 2015, Republicans now dominate in the chamber, and will hold 31 seats to the Democrats' three beginning in the next session. Mike Hall (West Virginia Politician)
William Michael Hall (born November 3, 1948) is an American politician and chief of staff to the governor of West Virginia Jim Justice. He previously was a Republican member of the West Virginia Senate representing District 4 between 2006 and 2017. Hall served six terms in the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing the 14th district. In 2012, Hall was nominated by the Republican Party as its nominee for the office of West Virginia State Treasurer. He was defeated in the general election by incumbent State Treasurer John Perdue.
