Charles Brewer (boxer)
Charles Brewer (born October 15, 1969, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), is a retired professional boxer in the Super Middleweight (168 lb) division. Known as "The Hatchet", Brewer was 14–3 as an amateur. He turned professional in 1989 and in 1997 won the Vacant IBF Super Middleweight Title with a TKO over Gary Ballard. He defended the title three times including a knockout win over Herol Graham, before losing the belt to Sven Ottke in a split decision. In a 2000 rematch, he lost another split decision to Ottke. In 2002, he fought WBO Super Middleweight Title holder and future hall of famer Joe Calzaghe in Cardiff but lost by a wide margin. Freeman Barr (born October 12, 1973) is a Bahamian former professional boxer who competed from 1993 to 2010, challenging for the WBO middleweight title in 1999. Reggie Strickland (born September 4, 1968) (aliases Reggie Buse and Reggie Raglin) is an American former professional boxer. Professional career Strickland began his professional career in 1987. He was featured in an article in ''The New York Times'', along with journeymen Buck Smith and Verdell Smith, detailing the life of a journeyman boxer, or tomato can. It was noted that in Strickland's many fights, he sometimes used aliases, including Reggie Buse and Reggie Raglin. Antwun Echols
Antwun Echols (born December 4, 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee) is an American boxer who was a world middleweight contender throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s. His hometown is Davenport, Iowa. Career Echols turned professional in 1993 and in 1999 challenged IBF middleweight title holder Bernard Hopkins. Although Echols gave Hopkins a tough fight, he lost via decision. The following year he lost a rematch with Hopkins, this time losing via TKO in the 10th. In 2001 he fought a crowd-pleasing bout with Charles Brewer. Echols went down three times in round two, but recovered in round three to score a TKO win to capture the vacant NABA super middleweight title.
