Charles Baldwin (MP)
Charles Baldwen (born 1593) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1640 to 1644. He supported the Royalist cause in the English Civil War. Baldwin was the son of William Baldwin of Elsich, in the parish of Diddlebury. In April 1640, Baldwin was elected Member of Parliament for Ludlow in the Short Parliament. He was re-elected MP for Ludlow for the Long Parliament The Long Parliament was an English Parliament which lasted from 1640 until 1660. Charles Baldwin (cricketer)
Charles Baldwin (29 December 1864 – 2 May 1947) was an English cricketer. He played 80 first-class matches for Surrey between 1892 and 1898. In 1897 he scored 234 against Kent. According to his obituary in ''Wisden'', he was short and thickset, and a stylish batsman, who scored 1,137 runs in the County Championship in his best season of 1897. During his playing career with Surrey, he was known to umpire in first-class matches, doing so on three occasions; he would later umpire in a further three first-class matches following the end of his playing career with Surrey. He played minor counties cricket for his home county, Suffolk, in the 1904 Minor Counties Championship, making two appearances. After his playing career, he was a successful coach at Uppingham School for seventeen years. When the Surrey scorer died in 1927, he took over the position for a while. Charles Sears Baldwin (21 March 1867 – 23 October 1935) was an American scholar and professor of rhetoric at Yale University. Born in New York City in 1867, Baldwin entered Columbia College at seventeen and received his A.B. in 1888. He was one of the earliest students to be granted the Ph.D. degree in English at Columbia. Besides teaching at Yale (1895–1911), Baldwin also worked at Barnard College and Columbia University. He was married twice, first in 1894 to Agnes Irwin (who died in 1897), and then to Gratia Eaton Whited in 1902. Most of his life an Episcopalian, he converted to Catholicism the year before his death. Baldwin died in New York City in 1935. Charles Obadiah Baldwin (born May 3, 1952) is an American right-wing politician, radio host, and founder-former pastor of Crossroad Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida. As of January 2011 he was pastor of Liberty Fellowship in Kalispell, Montana. He was the presidential nominee of the Constitution Party for the 2008 U.S. presidential election and had previously been its nominee for vice president in 2004. He hosts a daily one-hour radio program, ''Chuck Baldwin Live'', and writes a daily editorial column carried on its website, as well as on VDare. He is a former editor of NewsWithViews.com. Charles Barry Baldwin
Charles Barry Baldwin ( – 13 April 1859) was a British Conservative and Tory politician. The son of Charles Baldwin, descendant of Trinity College, Dublin provost Richard Baldwin, and nephew of Sir Edward Barry, Baldwin's early career saw him hold the role of Undersecretary to the French claims commission in 1819, and then called to the Bar with Inner Temple in 1824. By 1830, he was a conveyancer, and by 1835, he was a parliamentary draftsmen and counsel to the French claims commissioners. He married Frances Lydia Boyd, daughter of Walter Boyd and Harriet Anne née Goddard, in 1823, and they had one son and two daughters: Charles Edward Barry (born 1824); Frances Elizabeth (1826–1891); and Mary Georgiana (–1898). They later separated after his wife was granted a separation in 1854.
