Red Bank is a borough in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. Incorporated in 1908, the community is on the Navesink River, the area's original transportation route to the ocean and other ports. Red Bank is in the New York Metropolitan Area and is a commuter town of New York City. As of the 2020 United States Census, it had a population of 12,936, reflecting an increase of 730 (5.98%) from the 12,206 counted in the 2010 Census, which had in turn increased by 362 (3.06%) from the 11,844 counted in the 2000 Census. Each district has one senator and two members of the New Jersey General Assembly, the lower house of the legislature. Prior to the election in which they are chosen, senators must be a minimum of 30 years old and a resident of the state for four years to be eligible to serve in office.
