Charles Allen (athlete)
Charles Allen (born March 3, 1977) is a Canadians, Canadian Track and field, track and field athlete, specializing in hurdling and Sprint (running), sprinting. Born in Georgetown, Guyana, Georgetown, Guyana, Allen emigrated to Canada, first to Brampton, Ontario, Brampton where he attended Turner Fenton Secondary School, and then to Malton, Ontario, Malton where he went to Ascension of Our Lord Secondary School. Allen represented Canada at the 1996 World Junior Championships in Athletics in the 1996 World Junior Championships in Athletics – Men's 100 metres, 100 and 1996 World Junior Championships in Athletics – Men's 200 metres, 200 metres. He competed for Guyana in the 110 metres hurdles at the Athletics at the 2000 Summer Olympics – Men's 110 metres hurdles, 2000 Summer Olympics, and still holds the Guyanese record in that event. Georgetown, Guyana

The 2006 Commonwealth Games, officially the XVIII Commonwealth Games and commonly known as Melbourne 2006 (Boonwurrung/Woiwurrung: ''Narrm 2006'' or ''Naarm 2006''), was an international multi-sport event for members of the Commonwealth held in Melbourne, Australia between 15 and 26 March 2006. It was the fourth time Australia had hosted the Commonwealth Games.
