Chapman Lake (Pennsylvania)
Chapman Lake is a reservoir located in Warren County, Pennsylvania entirely within the Chapman State Park. Chapman State Park is a 862 acre state park that opens from sunrise to sunset. The lake is formed by the disbandment of the West Branch of the Tionesta Creek. The lake spans 68 acres and has fishing for both warm-water and cold-water fish. The park is off US 6, near the town of Clarendon. Jim Chapman Lake
Jim Chapman Lake (also known as Cooper Lake) is a impoundment operated by the Army Corps of Engineers and is located east of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in the state of Texas. The reservoir was created by the 1991 Jim Chapman Dam and impounds the South Sulphur River, a fork of the Sulphur River. It provides water supply storage for the North Texas Municipal Water District, the Sulphur River Municipal Water District. The lake is known as a preferred location for fishing in the region. Species likely to be caught are blue and channel catfish, Florida largemouth bass, crappie, and hybrid striped bass. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s Cooper Lake State Park is located on Jim Chapman Lake. Lake Chapman (Antarctica)
Lake Chapman is a small lake located on The Flatiron, at Granite Harbour within the Ross Dependency of Antarctica. It was first visited by members of Capt. Robert Falcon Scott's Western Party in 1911 and was one of the "pretty little tarns" observed by Griffith Taylor who was Senior Geologist to the expedition. Indeed, Tryggve Gran, another member of the Western Party, even used the lake for a swim to "celebrate Midsummer Day". More recently, it has been a site of active research undertaken by the University of Waikato as part of a larger terrestrial biodiversity research programme supported by the New Zealand Antarctic Research Institute (NZARI) and Antarctica New Zealand (AntNZ). Naming Lake Chapman is named in honour of Ann Chapman, one of the first women scientists to visit the Ross Sea Region and the first woman to lead a scientific expedition in the Antarctic. Chapman Lake (Gouin Reservoir)
The Chapman Lake is a vast expanse of freshwater in the central part of the Gouin Reservoir, in the territory of the town of La Tuque, in Haute-Mauricie, in the administrative region of Mauricie, in the province of Quebec, in Canada. This bay extends into the cantons of Chapman (northern part), Huguenin (southern part) and Nevers (eastern part). Following the completion of the Gouin Dam in 1948, the current form of Chapman Lake was shaped by the raising of the Gouin Reservoir. The water level varies significantly, being dependent on the Gouin Dam. Recreotourism activities are the main economic activity of the sector. Forestry comes second. A road branch connecting to the South at route 400 serves the southern portion of Chapman Lake and the southwestern portion of "Lac des Cinq Milles".
