Chapel Christian Academy
Chapel Christian Academy was an educational ministry of Limerick Chapel in Limerick Township, Pennsylvania. The school provided a Fundamentalist Christian education to students in grades Kâ12. The Academy, better known as "CCA" by its students, was founded in 1974 as a ministry of Limerick Chapel, and as a part of the Christian School movement. Parents were encouraged to remove their children from the public school system due to lack of Biblical influence in the public school curriculum. The Academy was based on the Bible being the inerrant word of God; creationism was the basis of all scientific teaching at the school. The school began with grades 1â6 and each year added a grade. In 1981, the academy had its first graduating class. Limerick Township, Pennsylvania
Limerick Township is a township in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. History The township was named for the hometown of early settler William Evans, whose family arrived in the area from Limerick, Ireland in 1698. The township is mentioned in Philadelphia court records in the 1710s, but formal proceedings recording the township's boundaries were not entered until March Sessions 1726. Royersford was created from its southeastern corner in 1879. Limerick Township is a member of the Spring-Ford Area School District. The township grew from a 1990 population of 6,600 to 18,074 as of the 2010 census. On July 27, 1994, a deadly tornado struck parts of Limerick Township, killing an infant and her parents. Biblical Inerrancy
Biblical inerrancy is the belief that the Bible "is without error or fault in all its teaching"; or, at least, that "Scripture in the original manuscripts does not affirm anything that is contrary to fact". Some equate inerrancy with biblical infallibility; others do not. The belief in Biblical inerrancy is of particular significance within parts of evangelicalism, where it is formulated in the "Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy". Pensacola Christian College (PCC) is a private Independent Baptist college in Pensacola, Florida. Founded in 1974 by Arlin and Beka Horton, it has been accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools since 2013. History Arlin and Beka Horton graduated from Bob Jones University in 1951, and moved to Pensacola, Florida in 1952 to found a Christian grade school. That school, Pensacola Christian Grade School, opened in 1954; it was later renamed Pensacola Christian Academy.
