''Chaos;Head'' (stylized as ''ChäoS;HEAd'') is a 2008 science fiction visual novel video game developed by 5pb. and Nitroplus. It is the first game in the ''Science Adventure'' series. Following the original Windows release, the enhanced version ''Chaos;Head Noah'' was released for Xbox 360 in 2009, and has since been ported to multiple platforms. An English localization was released by Spike Chunsoft for Nintendo Switch and Windows in 2022. The game follows Takumi Nishijou, who gets involved in the "New Gen" serial murder case. He frequently experiences delusions and hallucinations, some of which the player can influence, which affects the progression of the story. The game was planned by Chiyomaru Shikura and written by Hayashi Naotaka, and features character designs by Sasaki Mutsumi and music by Takeshi Abo, who described the game's sound as "rainy". Science Adventure
''Science Adventure'' is a multimedia series consisting of interconnected science fiction stories, created mainly by Mages, Nitroplus, and Chiyomaru Studio. The main entries mostly take the form of visual novel video games, but side entries span across several different mediums. The series currently consists of six mainline entries: the first part of the series, ''Chaos;Head'', was a visual novel released in 2008, and it is followed by the visual novels ''Steins;Gate'', ''Robotics;Notes'', ''Chaos;Child'', '' Occultic;Nine'', '' Anonymous;Code'', as well as the upcoming '' Steins;???''. ''Chaos;Head Love Chu Chu!'' is a romantic comedy visual novel video game developed by 5pb. and Nitroplus. It is part of the ''Science Adventure'' series, and is the direct sequel of the 2009 game '' Chaos;Head NoAH''. It was released for Xbox 360 on March 25, 2010, and later released for PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Synopsis Characters The player assumes the role of Takumi Nishijo, who used to be a loner; he is starting to become more social, but still finds it difficult to speak to girls. Among other characters is Takumi's classmate Rimi Sakihata. The game introduces a new character, Erin-Frey Orgel, who is Seira Orgel's little sister. Chaos;Head (TV Series)
is a 2008 anime television series created by Madhouse based on 5pb. and Nitroplus's video game of the same name, and is part of the ''Science Adventure'' franchise. It is set in Shibuya, Tokyo, and follows Takumi Nishijo, a high school student who develops paranoia and delusions after having witnessed one of a series of murders. He meets several girls who have an interest in him, and who he suspects might have a connection to the murders. He eventually learns of the existence of people with the power to project delusions onto others' minds, and of an organization using a machine to do so artificially for their own gain. The series was directed by Takaaki Ishiyama, with Toshiki Inoue handling series composition, Hidekazu Shimamura designing the characters based on CHOCO and Mutsumi Sasaki's original concept and tOkyO composing the music. It is the fourth main entry in the ''Science Adventure'' series, and a thematic sequel to ''Chaos;Head'' (2008). It was released in Japan in 2014 for Xbox One, and later for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Microsoft Windows, iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch. An English localization was released for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita by PQube in 2017, and for Windows by Spike Chunsoft in 2019. The player takes the role of Takuru Miyashiro, the president of his school's newspaper club, who investigates the "Return of the New Generation Madness" serial murder case. Nitroplus Co., Ltd., currently styled as NITRO PLUS, formerly stylized as nitro+, and formerly known as "OKStyle", is a Japanese visual novel video game developer that has developed a number of visual novels, including eroge. They also have been collaborating with developer Type-Moon to create the light novel series ''Fate/Zero''. Their works usually have dark Theme (literature), themes such as zombies, reanimation of the dead, rape and murder. They also have a branch of the company called Nitro+chiral, which focuses on yaoi, Boys' Love visual novels.
