Manchester High School is a coeducational secondary school located at 9 Perth Road in the town of Mandeville, Jamaica. History Manchester High School was established for the purpose of providing "a good middle class education" to boys and girls. Since portions of the current parish of Manchester Parish, Manchester were a part of Vere Parish, Jamaica, Vere, the funds from the Vere Trust, a result of charitable donations from several individuals, were used in 1855 to establish several institutions. Manchester Middle Grade and Elementary schools had separate sections for boys and girls and were conducted on premises adjacent to St. Mark's Anglican Church (Mandeville Parish Church) beginning April 20, 1861. The ISSA Grace Kennedy Boys and Girls Championships (better known as Champs) is an annual Jamaican high school track and field meet held by Jamaica's Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association. The five day event, held during the last week before Easter in Kingston, has been considered a proving ground for many Jamaican athletes. 2019 World Athletics Championships – Women's Long Jump
The women's long jump at the 2019 World Athletics Championships was held at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha, Qatar, from 5 to 6 October 2019. Summary Throughout the 2019 season, only 3 athletes were able to jump over 7 metres, led by Malaika Mihambo who had been there in 6 out of 10 competitions. One of the others was defending champion Brittney Reese, who didn't make it out of the qualifying round, leaving Ese Brume as Mihambo's strongest challenger.
