''Chandrokotha'' is a 2003 Bengali drama film written and directed by Humayun Ahmed. Produced and distributed by Nuhash Chalachitra the film starred Ferdous Ahmed, Meher Afroz Shaon, Asaduzzaman Noor, Champa, Ahmed Rubel, Shadhin Khosru, Dr.Ezazul Islam and Monira Mithu in the lead role. Meher Afroz Shaon
Meher Afroz Shaon (born 12 October 1981) is a Bangladeshi actress, director and playback singer. She won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for her performance in the film ''Krishnopokkho'' (2016). She was the wife of writer and director Humayun Ahmed. Early life Shaon was born to Mohammad Ali, an engineer; and Tahura Ali, who was a member of parliament from Constituency 319 of the 9th Bangladesh Parliament. Shaon studied at Viqarunnisa Noon School and College. She obtained a Secondary School Certificate and a Higher Secondary Certificate in 1996 and 1998, respectively. Ahmed Rubel
Ahmed Reza Rubel (born 1965) is a Bangladeshi theatre, movie and television actor. He started his career in Selim Al Deen's theatre group "Dhaka Theatre". Later he concentrated into mainstream commercial movies and starred in 6 movies. Then he left the film industry to work in tele-dramas. Career Rubel started his career working for "Dhaka Theatre", a theatre group of Selim Al Deen. Then he moved to act in commercial Bengali movies. Humayun Ahmed
Humayun Ahmed (; 13 November 1948 – 19 July 2012) was a Bangladeshi novelist, dramatist, screenwriter, filmmaker, songwriter, scholar, and professor. His breakthrough was his debut novel ''Nondito Noroke'' published in 1972. He wrote over 200 fiction and non-fiction books, many of which were bestsellers in Bangladesh. His books were the top sellers at the Ekushey Book Fair during the 1990s and 2000s. He won the Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1981 and the Ekushey Padak in 1994 for his contribution to Bengali literature. In the early 1990s, Ahmed emerged as a filmmaker. Ejajul Islam
Ezazul Islam, known by his stage name as Dr. Ezaz, is a Bangladeshi physician and actor who appears in Bangladeshi television shows and films. Dr. Islam graduated with an MBBS from Rangpur Medical College in 1984 and a post-graduate diploma in nuclear medicine (DNM) from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. Nazmul Huda Bachchu
Nazmul Huda Bachchu (11 July 1938 – 28 June 2017) was a Bangladeshi film and television actor. He won Bangladesh National Film Award. Early life and education From 1938 to 1950 he was in Kolkata with his parents. His father was a doctor at Kolkata Railway Hospital. After partition they moved to East Pakistan (Bangladesh). Bachchu completed his post graduation in political science from the University of Dhaka in 1963. Bachchu began his career in music and became a singer and music director. While he was a student, he served as a singer on the radio. In 1961, he provided vocals for the song "Obhimaan Korona" in the film '' Harano Din'', directed by Mustafizul Haq. Asaduzzaman Noor (born 31 October 1946) is a Bangladeshi actor, politician and activist. He has been a Jatiya Sangsad member from Nilphamari-2 constituency since 2001 and served as the Cultural Affairs Minister during 2014–2019. Gulshan Ara Akter Champa (born 5 January 1965) is a Bangladeshi film and television actress.
