Saiyid Fazal Ali
Sir Saiyid Fazl Ali Order of the British Empire, OBE (19 September 1886 – 22 August 1959) was an Indian judge, the governor of two Indian states (Assam and Odisha), and the head of the States Reorganisation Commission which determined the boundaries of several Indian states in the December 1953.Their commission submitted the report in September 1953 broadly accepting the language as the basis of reorganisation of states. Career Fazl belonged to an aristocratic Zamindar (landlord) family of Bihar state. He studied law and began practicing. Eventually he was raised to the judiciary. Sir Fazl Ali was successively given the title of Khan Sahib first and of Khan Bahadur later. In 1918, he was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE). He was knighted in the New Year's Honours list of 1941 and invested with his knighthood on 1 May 1942 by the Viceroy of India, Viceroy, Lord Linlithgow. India became independent in 1947. General (India), General Satyawant Mallanna Shrinagesh (also known as Satyavant Shrinagule Mallannah) (11 May 1903 – 27 December 1977) was an Indian military officer who served as 3rd Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army, Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army from 14 May 1955 till 7 May 1957. After retirement he served as the Governor of Assam from 14 October 1959 to 12 November 1960 and again from 13 January 1961 to 7 September 1962. He was the Governor of Andhra Pradesh from 8 September 1962 to 4 May 1964 and Governor of Karnataka, Governor of Mysore from 4 May 1964 to 2 April 1965. He also served as principal of the Administrative Staff College of India in Hyderabad, India, Hyderabad, Hyderabad State from 1957 to 1959. Gauhati High Court
The Gauhati High Court was promulgated by governor general of India on 1 March 1948 after the '' Government of India Act 1935'' was passed. Establishing the High Court of Assam with effect from 5 April 1948, for the then Province of Assam. It was originally known as the High Court of Assam and Nagaland, but renamed as Gauhati High Court in 1971 by the ''North-Eastern Areas (Reorganisation) Act, 1971''.
