Chan Sen
Chan Sen, also written as Chansen ( th, จันเสน, ) is a ''tambon'' (subdistrict) in Takhli District, Nakhon Sawan Province, upper central Thailand. History Chan Sen's history dates back more than 2,000–3,000 years and is considered an ancient town in the late Iron Age and continued until the early Dvaravati period, contemporary with Funan in present-day Vietnam and Suphan Buri's U Thong. This is confirmed by the discovery of human skeletons, fragments of pottery, stone axes and iron tools on Khao Chong Khae Hill in the area and at Ban Mai Chaimongkol Village in its district as well as the neighbouring areas. The condition of the ancient town of Chan Sen was first discovered from aerial photographs in 1966 by Thai architect and national artist Nij Hincheerana. Tambon
''Tambon'' ( th, ตำบล, ) is a local governmental unit in Thailand. Below district (''amphoe'') and province (''changwat''), they form the third administrative subdivision level. there were 7,255 tambons, not including the 180 ''khwaeng'' of Bangkok, which are set at the same administrative level, thus every district contains eight to ten tambon. The National Artist ( th, ศิลปินแห่งชาติ, , ) is a title given annually by the Office of the National Culture Commission of Thailand, recognizing notable Thai artists in the area of intangible cultural heritage such as literature, fine arts, visual arts, applied arts (architecture, design) and performing arts (Thai dance, international dance, puppetry, shadow play, Thai music, international music, drama and film). Since 1985, the honors have been presented on 24 February, "National Artist Day", in Thailand. The date was chosen because it is the birthdate of Buddha Loetla Nabhalai, or King Rama II, who was an artist himself. Sing Buri Province
Sing Buri ( th, สิงห์บุรี, ) is one of the central provinces (''changwat'') of Thailand. Neighboring provinces are (from north clockwise) Nakhon Sawan, Lopburi, Ang Thong, Suphan Buri, and Chai Nat. Toponymy The word ''sing'' originates from Sanskrit ''singh'' meaning 'lion' and ''buri'', from Sanskrit ''puri'' meaning '' buri mueang'' 'fortified city' or 'town'. Hence the literal translation is 'lion city', sharing the same root as Singapore. Geography Sing Buri is located on the flat river plain of the Chao Phraya River valley.
