The Rod Davidson Cup was the name of the trophy awarded to the post-season champion of the second All American Hockey League. The cup, originally called the Champions Cup, was named in honor of ''Rod Davidson'', who had been an instrumental part of the All American Hockey League through coaching, management, and finally as commissioner. Ice Hockey
Ice hockey (or simply hockey) is a team sport played on ice skates, usually on an ice skating rink with lines and markings specific to the sport. It belongs to a family of sports called hockey. Battle Creek Revolution
The Battle Creek Revolution was a professional ice hockey team which played in the All American Hockey League. The team played its home games at Revolution Arena in Battle Creek, Michigan. The team was initially announced to play in the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League for the 2008–09 season before the league folded in August 2008. Chi-Town Shooters
The Chi-Town Shooters were a professional ice hockey team that played in the All American Hockey League. The team played its home games at the Midwest Training & Ice Center in Dyer, Indiana. The "Shooters" name refers to the casinos in the South Shore region of northwestern Indiana. History On April 5, 2009, the Shooters won their first and only Rod Davidson Cup, beating the Battle Creek Revolution in the final deciding game of a best-of-five series. The team did not return to the AAHL looking to focus on launching a junior ice hockey team instead.. However, the West Michigan Blizzard relocated to the arena as the Indiana Blizzard before the 2010–11 season. By December 2010, the Blizzard had folded and the roster was taken over by the Shooters' organization and name for the remainder of the season. Evansville IceMen (2008–2010)
The Evansville IceMen were a minor league ice hockey team in the ECHL in Evansville, Indiana. The franchise was originally a member of the United Hockey League before it merged into the Central Hockey League in 2010. The franchise has won four post-season championship titles in the UHL in 1999, 2002, 2004 and 2005. The franchise played one season at Swonder Ice Arena before moving to the Ford Center beginning in the 2011–12 season. The IceMen were formerly known as the Muskegon Fury from 1992 to 2008, and Muskegon Lumberjacks from 2008 to 2010. The IceMen franchise replaced the original Evansville IceMen that were a part of the All American Hockey League before folding in 2010. The franchise went dormant after the 2015–16 season and were replaced at the Ford Center by the Evansville Thunderbolts in the Southern Professional Hockey League.
