Kings County is a county located in the U.S. state of California. The population was 152,486 at the 2020 census. Kings County comprises the Hanford- Lemoore, CA metropolitan statistical area, which is also included in the Visalia- Porterville-Hanford, CA combined statistical area. It is in the San Joaquin Valley, a rich agricultural region. History The area was inhabited for thousands of years by native Americans including the Tachi Yokuts tribe. A mountain is an elevated portion of the Earth's crust, generally with steep sides that show significant exposed bedrock.
